Our Journey Details:
Just to give an idea to future tourists, a brief account of our journey from Delhi to Diu is presented here. We booked flight of AIr India from Delhi to Ahmedabad. For onward journey, we had train tickets from Ahmedabad to Dwarika. After reaching Dwarika, we took Dwarika Municipality's bus that charged Rs 60 to Bhet Dwarika & other religious places in between Dwarika & Bhet Dwarika and back to Dwarika. It was approx. 5-6 hrs journey. Next day we left by an AC Tavera jeep that was booked from Dwarika to show us the places of interest between Dwarika & Junagarh and further take us to Sasan Gir Forest, Diu and back to Verawal showing us Somnath temple. Somnath temple is just 5 km from Verawal. One has to travel to Verawal to catch a train to Ahmedabad. Tavera was booked for 3 days and charges for the same were Rs 6000 for three days. We chose hotel 'Paramount" to stay in Diu. It costed Rs 1500 for one day for two persons. After travelling to different place as mentioned above, we got back to Ahmedabad to get a flight in the morning at 8.00 PM to Delhi
